Haven’t you ever wondered how your donation is spent? Ever been curious to know if the project you backed has been successful and know the impact it had? Well we have.
At Fundsome we believe it is time to change the way we traditionally donate. We want to keep you, the donor, involved with the projects you love and care about. We believe you are not only a donor, an investor, to a project, we believe you are the reason the project can carry forward. We do not think NGOs are doing a bad job, in the contrary. We believe they can do an even better job with a stronger donor involvement and –engagement. And that is exactly where we are for.

OUR MISSION



Our main mission is to increase donor involvement and –engagement resulting in increasing funds for development projects. We want to make you, the donor, part of the projects you back, not only as a donor but as a representative.
To engage donors, we want to involve them in the whole project cycle of the development project, the financials, the build and the impact it has on the community. Let us together celebrate the successes and milestones achieved, share the results and market for future fundraising.


ENABLING CHOICE


Other than within the commercial market, consumers (or donors in our case) are not able to choose what (development) project to support, but rather have the opportunity to choose the development organisation as a whole. This way, you may sponsor a project which you may not have backed if you knew where the money was spent at. Hence, Fundsome wants to enable donors to donate to specific projects of their choice, instead of ‘traditionally’ donating to the organisation as a whole.

TRANSPARENCY


Knowing what you back is the first step for donors to know where their money is going to. Having donated to the project of your interest you will be able to monitor how much money has already been spent and track the progress of the project. In addition, Fundsome lets its donors experience the progress of ‘their’ projects, through (live) project videos, -blogs and milestones, shared and created by the initiating NGOs, within their personal website area.

ENHANCING DONATION EASE AND CLARITY

Finally, Fundsome will clarify the process of donation, and in some cases tax deduction, processes for its users. Within a persons’ personal profile (webpage) he/she will be able to track its donation, see whether their donations are electable for tax deduction, check how much they spent on donations over the year(s) and so on. In addition, NGOs are able to transparently present and share their successes, which in turn may be shared by their donors. This lessens the fear of NGOs to market their obtained successes, afraid of commercializing and arrogance.
